what is treemap in java

What is TreeMap in java

TreeMap is one of the implementation class of Map interface which is use to store values on the basis of key-value pairs and it follows by default ascending order sorting.

TreeMap provides by default natural sorting order means by default we will get TreeMap object in ascending order sorting.

Points to remember

  1. Insertion order is not preserved in TreeMap.
  2. Duplicate keys are not allowed but values can be duplicate in TreeMap.
  3. Values can be heterogeneous and can be non Comparable in TreeMap.
  4. It is sorted according to the natural ordering of its keys.

   TreeMap<String,Integer> t=new TreeMap<>();
   for(Map.Entry<String,Integer> m : t.entrySet()){
